How are our products different?
We are very picky about what goes into our products, therefore only the best natural Australian ingredients have made their way into our jars. We believe in natural, we believe in quality, and we believe in outcomes. Have a sneak peak into how some of the ingredients will work on your skin:
Almond sweet oil: an excellent emollient and is known for its ability to soften and re-condition the skin. The oil is also rich in sterols which can relieve skin irritation.
Bladderwrack: a form of seaweed (Kelp) that is prized for its rich Iodine content. It has a long history of use in herbal medicine to help regulate metabolism and as such is often used in slimming products including body wraps, face creams and serums. Iodine is often used on the skin to help boost healing and also for its anti-microbial properties. These features make Bladderwrack suitable for products targeting problem skin. In addition the extract has a moisturising effect.
Calendula: has wonderful skin-soothing properties and improves the appearance of teenage and/or troubled skin.
Castor oil: contains high level of ricinoleic acid, and this offers excellent skin-soothing benefits helping to create a protective skin barrier. It also contains oleic, stearic and linoleic acids too. Castor Oil is an emollient, and is moisturising and soothing and contributes a protective barrier for the skin.
Cardamom essential oil: benefits include antibacterial, diuretic, stimulant and aphrodisiac properties.
Green coffee seed extract: provides moisturising, softening, nourishing and toning qualities that are useful in skincare products designed for dry, sensitive and delicate skin. Coffee seeds in general contain a significant amount of tannins which offer astringent properties found to be valuable in applications for oily skin. Green Coffee seeds also have antioxidant, smoothing, restructuring and regenerating qualities, which make it ideal for anti-ageing, and anti-cellulite skincare products, including mature or damaged skin.
Green tea extract: Soothes and protects the skin, reduces sebum, and minimizes signs of aging. Not only can green tea extract help with acne and help your skin look younger, but it also has the potential for helping to prevent melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancers. Green tea also contains caffeine and tannins, which work by shrinking blood vessels and decreasing puffiness
Jojoba oil: penetrates the skin easily and is suitable for all skin types making it an ideal ingredient. Jojoba contains a natural anti-inflammatory called myristic acid which may be useful in formulations for arthritis and rheumatism. It has natural anti-oxidant properties and so a virtually indefinite shelf life. Jojoba oil is rich in Vitamin E and has a very close chemical composition to the skins sebum, making it suitable for all skin types especially skin that is prone to outbreaks.
Liquorice root extract: may be effective in improving the look of an uneven skin tone. One of its components, known as glabridin, is a potent antioxidant and skin-soothing ingredient, which is why liquorice often shows up in products meant for sensitive, reddened skin.
Pineapple extract: an effective exfoliant. It contains a powerful enzyme called bromelain, that helps slough away dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of blackheads, which means it’s ideal for anyone struggling with persistent spots. Pineapple is also a natural anti-inflammatory so it will help reduce redness and swelling. Basically, it’s the answer to all our skincare dreams.
Sandalwood oil: soothes inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. It calms irritated skin, flattens breakouts as well as helps fade scars, moisturise and tone the skin with mild astringent action.
Sea kelp extract: mineral and antioxidant rich, known to help soften and hydrate dry skin. Not only that, but it also helps your skin retain moisture, keeping it hydrated for longer. It is known to reduce the appearance of breakouts. Sea Kelp contains minerals that penetrate the skin and remove toxins.
Shea butter: hailed for its protecting and emollient properties. The first choice in natural skin care and fine body care products, this butter forms a breathable, water-resistant film and is the leading natural product for moisturising.
Wintergreen essential oil: has a refreshing minty aroma is best known for its anti-inflammatory properties. When used in a muscle rub, these fabulous capabilities intensify with the stimulation of a massage to relieve muscular aches and pains. It can act as a detoxifyer, helping to remove excess salt and water. It can also provide relief from pain and provide relaxation.
